Update: Thirsty Buddha x charity : water

Healthy hydration is Thirsty Buddha’s ‘raison d’etre’– with every can of coconut water we produce and distribute, we seek to supply the masses with sources of hydration that benefit the body. Our awareness about the importance of access to healthy drink sources got us thinking: now that we’re hydrating consumers in North America, we should be helping impoverished communities achieve the same basic necessities. Enter, charity : water.

Thirsty Buddha & Oceana

When it comes to the world of business, often times the state of the planet is sacrificed as a means of prioritizing the state of commerce. With our product coming from the South Pacific by sea, the Thirsty Buddha company is aware of our contribution to the problem. However, as a means of offsetting our carbon footprint on the open waters, we have teamed with Oceana, an organization that works to preserve the oceans, as part of our collaboration with 1% For The Planet.  (more…)

Charity: Water & Thirsty Buddha

As part of Thirsty Buddha’s involvement with 1% For The Planet, we have pledged 1% of our annual sales to four charities that help the environment and people in need to acquire necessary natural resources. One of these deserving organizations is Charity: Water.

Thirsty Buddha & The David Suzuki Foundation

 

As part of our membership with One Percent For The Planet, Thirsty Buddha has pledged to donate 1% of its sales accrued in 2013 to four charities that work to help the world– including both the people who inhabit it and the state of the environment in general. The first charity we are working with is none other than The David Suzuki Foundation!

One Percent For The Planet

At Thirsty Buddha, there’s nothing we love more than being able to provide delicious hydration to the masses. What makes this process especially exciting for us is that we’re helping to introduce the western world to products that have been consumed for centuries in places half the world away.

However, we are also aware that the cost of business for any company includes taking a significant toll on the Earth and its resources. It’s for this reason that Thirsty Buddha has teamed up with One Percent For The Planet, an organization that connects business with non-profits to whom they pledge to donate 1% of their annual sales.  (more…)
